Some may recognize Susanna from her current role with Odyssey Adventure Racing
as its Director of Competitor Relations and HQ Diva. Susanna first
heard of adventure racing while working in retail with Travis “T-rex
Overstreet, founding member of the Odyssey Dirty Dozen climbing crew.
Travis’s enthusiasm for the climb sites and admiration of the athletes
was contagious. She joined the D12 in 2000, attended the Odyssey AR
Academy in 2004, and has been volunteering, racing, and hooked on the
AR community ever since.
“I am thrilled to expand my role in the adventure racing
community at large as a part of the PQ08 team, says Susanna. My
introduction to AR came through volunteering with Odyssey’s Dirty Dozen
climbing crew 8 years ago and, although I initially believed adventure
racers to be absolutely nuts, my passion for this community and this
sport have grown every year since.
In between massage therapy clients, Susanna will act as a point of
contact for volunteers and assist in coordinating the PQ08 volunteer
family over the coming months and out on the course itself.
Dancing Pandas are an adventure racing

This will be a weird podcast. I just happen to go to the Target nearby this morning and discovered people camped out waiting to buy a PlayStation 3. The weather was raining and expected to get worse. Others looked on to these soles thinking what kind of person would camp out in the pouring rain for 24-36 hours. Sound familiar? Listen to what drives these people to suffer.
